We wrote this script to be a truthful and compelling tale of the toll a marriage can take. Not just a sober journey through the death rattles of old love, but more so, a driving comedy that conjures the primal fear of every marriage: The fear of the worst case scenario… A golden age spent sitting in silence at a dinner table, a life of meaningless bickering replacing once meaningful conversations. Joy replaced by routine. Love replaced by responsibility. Proximity by distance. This primal fear is at the core of both the comedy and the drama of this script. It plays on our humanity, and makes the film simple, truthful and uniquely funny.
